Costco began a cotton traceability program in 2019 to understand where the cotton in their Kirkland SigNature apparel comes from.

Kirkland Signature Bed Sheets are made from Pima grown in California’s Central Valley. Products made from Pima and/or extra-long staple (ELS) cotton require DNA testing to verify these species.

The CertainT platform provides supply chain traceability technologies that include DNA tagging, genotyping and isotope testing, which enables traceability of cotton fiber throughout the entire supply chain. Tracking the purity and verifying the manufacturing process ensures higher quality.
